I have a 2023 Bassport pro elite with a 2023 Merc 250 R. For those running a 250R on their boats, do you guys have a fuel pump at the tank to assist sending fuel to motor or do y’all just have the fuel hose with the primer bulb?
I’m having issues with mine dropping rpm’s at speed. It’s not a significant drop in rpm’s, it actually feels like the hull sticks then frees up. I brought it to mechanic and they felt like it was the fuel filter on the motor. I changed it out and it helped for about a half of a tank of fuel and it started again. I have changed the fuel filter once again and same problem again. I have 50 hours on the motor and it’s done it since day one on break in. I will be bringing it back to mechanic if I can’t figure this out. The only other I haven’t tried that I will is to bypass the charcoal filter on the tank vent to make sure that’s not an issue.
