Going to be replacing my worn out 225 promax with a 2005 200xs. Motor only has around 20hrs on it. Will be getting it a week or two from now. Can't wait to see how it works out! Should be perfect for how I use my gse, mostly family boating with the odd 80 mph run.

Good for you! have to keep us posted what you like and don't like about it. i know it's been done on a few GS's, curious differences in set up and such. keep us posted, and enjoy the new power!!

Around 80mph is just what I tend to prop my motor for so that I can still pull the kids on a tube or wakeboard. Will be trying my higher pitched Hydromotive to see what it can do top end in the fall. Really looking forward to the better gas mileage at cruising speeds and lack of smoke at idle.
Don't see any reason to replace a compressor on a motor with only 20hrs original?

It should be a sweet unit, your set for a long time now.

Friend has one on a XB2003 and I think he's seen 86-87 with it. Not to mention the crazy fuel mileage!
