I know the feeling. I sold a 2011 and a 2012 replacement powerhead thinking they would keep making parts. WRONG. Hey Richard, another Mercury conspiracy to spite Allison owners....Yep. I thought you could run 100 with a weedeater motor and a 12' jon boat???? Must be a different racerx. BahhhhhWaaahhWaaaahh! Just teasing Louie, have a good 4th.The good motors are gone and I just cant get use to the new ones...
As much as we all would like to think otherwise, it all comes down to market size. Sucks, but that's the deal..... I just don't get why Mercury sells the heck out of the 300xs and you can't buy this 200xs 15".
True but Mercury Racing is a small custom shop. They have basically forsaken what made them for the big boat, inboard market. That might be a good business model now but turning your back on a loyal following usually bites your back side in the long run.As much as we all would like to think otherwise, it all comes down to market size. They are going to get some more of my money for some small parts from me. I will visit the maternity ward.Dave she'll be out of the mold next week. if you see her I could use some baby pics. Text them to me 828-506-5747. Thanks
It hurts my backside too, Dave. The business model doesn't even have us on the radar anymore. Have you priced two 1650's with 8 drives? I think Fred probably used us in a joking manner during coffee breaks in Fond du Lac or wherever they wine and dine the big offshore guys.....turning your back on a loyal following usually bites your back side in the long run.
