Guys, My Dad has a old Champion Bass Boat with a 93ish Merc XRI 150. It runs fine alot of the time but will sometimes not won't to Rev up. He has taken it to two local shops in the area but it wouldn't act up for them. They let him try, New power packs( two diff sets) a new stator, and I think a trigger. None of this seemed to make a difference. I went with him this morning to fish a bit and it starting cutting up. I pulled the cover and figured out that when this is happening that it is the bottom two cylinders that are not firing. When they kick in it runs like a clock.( actually idles pretty good on only four) One of the mechanics told him that it could possibly be the ECU but he didn't have a spare to try. Any advice is truly appreciated.
