175 Pro-XS question????

The 175 port timing is really close to a Gen 1 200xs. I have done just what you want to do. I took a 175 had it ported to Gen2 specs. (sleeves are available aftermarket) The standard 175 has the small front half with the narrow cages where the pro xs has the racing wider cages. if you start with the 175 over a 135/150 the exhaust chest doesn't need to be modified!

What about the cowl, the 200ros has an Alien, is it the same as my 2.5 alien?

Your mid will work but you'll have to get creative with the compressor cooling water. On the Gen 2 they remove the waterline that runs from the top of the block to the poppet and plumb it to the compressor. They then plug the fitting hole to the poppet.

The liner inside your cowl is different but a little trimming and it will fit!
