    1995 XB2003 w/ 1994 Promax 225

I’m thinking I’d let the boat go for $15000 the way it sits, 1994 Promax and CLE lower unit. $16000 for the 1999 Promax and CLE lower. $17000 for 1999 Promax and sportmaster lower unit, which is pictured with the 1999 promax. But money talks, I’m open to offers.

    1995 XB2003 w/ 1994 Promax 225

The 1994 Promax 225 has the old style narrow cowl. It’s on the boat now. It’s stock and all original (except oil injection delete), low time from what I can tell. The other engine with the alien is a 1999 Promax 225. About 40 hours since full rebuild. I had planned to keep the 1999 as a spare...

    2019 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3

Yes it’s the 8 speed. Next time we tow, I will try 7th for pulling. I could sure see if the engine is lugging it would use more fuel. Will let you know!

I have not calculated to check the accuracy, but just going by miles I travel and gallons I put in at the pump, it seems pretty accurate just quick math in my head.

2005 XB21 ProSport setup and prop?

I am running about 6200-6400 rpm in the shallow to mid 70s. So I think you’re right, the 25 promax prop is pretty close. It’s got the stock 8” setback, 2” spacer and 6” hydraulic plate. I will (slowly) raise my engine height next time I’m out making passes and see how she likes it. But for now...

    2019 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3

My new truck has a handy little trailering profile inside the dash screen that keeps track of your fuel mileage while you’re pulling a trailer. I’ve figured my fuel mileage with other pickups but it can vary from trip to trip... this one keeps the average for the whole time you’ve pulled, trip...

    98 xb2003 with 2005 2.5 xs

Also, fuel mileage is considerably better than either of my Promax’s. I don’t like that the opti is a more complicated design ie more to go wrong, but just run good fuel and oil, clean your fuel and air injectors every few years along with regular maintenance and they should last a long time.

    98 xb2003 with 2005 2.5 xs

I recently bought a 2.5XS on a XB21 ProSport. I thought it would feel underpowered on the 21’ boat, but seems like a stout motor. More low end torque than either of my ProMax 225s, and pulls all the way up into the upper 6000 rpm range. I don’t have much time with it, but seems like a good...

2005 XB21 ProSport setup and prop?

Just recently bought a 2005 XB21 with a 2.5XS motor. Loving it so far... wondering if anyone has ran a similar setup? The 2.5XS was only built one year, basically a 2.5 optimax 225hp on a 3.0 liter mid and a 3.0 liter sportmaster with 1.87 gears. I’m running a 25 promax prop. For our high...

There are a few out here but not many. I probably know of less than a dozen in our area.

Hello from New Mexico! Thanks for the add. I’ve been around Bullet’s and Allison’s my whole life. My dad has owned a few of each. I currently have a 1994 Bullet 20DC (that’s for sale) because I recently purchased an Allison of my own. 1995 XB2003. Came with a Merc 200efi but I swapped a freshly...
