What's the best set-back & prop height for a 20" 260 on an XB-2002 to turn a 24 ET?

Thanks,
Chuck

Really depends on your needs/want and how you use the boat.

with a 24 im asuming you are trying to get from a to b as quick as posible...8-10 would be best for that i like 12 inchs for top end running

I'm gonna go with 8" back and a 24 ET on 1.62 gears...
If that's too tall I'll go to a 22...

Thanks,
Chuck

The 260 wont like the 1.62 gears IMO I would run either 1.87 or 2.1 the 260 is a ported motor and likes to turn some R's. My 260 with 1.87 will turn a 24 over 9000 and it is quick about doing it. Hope this helps. Tom

Hey guys, I ran it for the 1st time last weekend... It was great having to drive again.
I brought it to 6500 3 or 4 times, starting raining so I came in.

As far as the 1.62 gears, that's what's in the gear case I have. I would change them but it's not a priority right now.

Can't wait for a sunny 60 degree day.
