I have always noticed this little push button in the starboard rear storage compartment and never could tell what it is there for. Is this the reset switch that some say they have to stand on their head to find on some Allison models? What does it control? On my 1992 XB2002 it is eaisy to access, but what does it do? That button is just a circuit breaker to the accessories such as a fish finder and stereo. It might also be the power to the livewell-recirculating pump, I can’t remember that last time I used those.. LOL

Something else under there in your starboard compartment is two rubber mounts to store your stern light….. way up under there.

The breaker contacts have been known to go intermittant with motor vibration. I replaced mine with a fuse and it solved my intermittant dash-mounted GPS problem.

I agree with 2Fast...mine got to where it would trip almost every time for no reason. When I took it out to replace it with a fuse I saw why...it is not sealed circuit breaker. Hence it was all corroded inside....no wonder it was tripping!!!

Breaker replacement

I did not want to use a fuse for it or the trim system breaker. I went to West Marine and bought the Perko completely sealed [waterproof] breakers. They are lots more expensive than a fuse but much less expensive than Sea-Tow if the fuse blows twice......
