Are there any vertical differences between Mercury lower units in regard to propshaft height? In other words, when you swap from a CLE to a 200 case to a Sportmaster, then an XR6 can you assume the propshaft is going to be in the same place, vertically, every time?
I am asking because today I discovered I was running 1.25" above the pad and I had checked many months ago without changing anything but cases and it was 3/8" to 7/16" max above the pad. The measurements were done the right way with everything level.
I have no idea how to account for the extreme propshaft height. Obviously, dropping it down to 1/2" the XR2001 ran MUCH better!
