Would a stator from a 1995 40hp Merc be tested about the same as an old V6 Merc? I get nothing going from ground to the red or blue wires. Took the stator off and still nothing form the laminated steel rings to the red or blue wires.
On my V6 stator I got something from ground to the red and a different value to the blue. I forget the exact values.
I think this stator must be dead since I can't get anything.
Am I right?
