We need to make a safety checklist and make a sticky in this forum. Things to check before you launch. I'll start and yall add to it.
  1. Check the hydraulic steering bolt.
  2. Inspect prop for cracks and tightness.
  3. Check for cracks in midsection.
  4. Make sure jackplate bolts are tight.
  5. Plug check.
  6. Make skidplate and hydrofoils are tight.

Myron and Pwick,
Do you have a list that you go over or are you working from memory?

I have a document made a few years back before I got complacent about safety. I'll see if I can find it.

I Also Wanted To Say That Guys Make Sure You Have The Right Steering Bolt In Your Tiller Arm And If You Run The Hi-po Mid You Need A Safety Yoke!!!! Going Fast Is Fun But Coming Home Safe And Not Hurt Is Even More Fun!!! Hope To See All At The Races Or On The Water This Year At Some Point!!!!
