I have the same 2 props that I bought with my boat, an omc srx and a 28 pitch prop that has no markings other than "Ron Hill" stamped on it. The problem is with the Ron Hill prop, I now have a little play in the prop, even when tightened all the way down. I bought a new lock nut and merc washer but still seems loose? could the hub be wearing out? How dangerous it is to run this thing at 90 and what happens if it blows out...bat turn?? Thanks, Gary

Check the splines on the inside of the hub for wear. My old chopper had a lightly bent blade and the vibration wore out the inside and it also had a little play in it tightened down.

Took the prop off and found somehow the hub washer was ground down to almost nothing and the bottom of the prop was also worn down, the inside of the hub was cracked, hope I can salvage the prop, it drives so much easier than the Omc srx that I have, who is the best to send props to?
