Odd pro XS 250 voltage issue

Hi Guys, Got a weird voltage issue showing up on my XS after installing a new battery. My old battery was just that old so it needed to be replaced. I put in the optima battery here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00075OSCO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but I noticed today that several times after cranking the boat up my Lowrance HD12 show low voltage below 11 volt just after cranking it up? All cranks fine but I thought this was odd.

Anyone seen this issue? Do you guys think the new battery has an issue?

I'm pretty sure Mercury recommends 850 CCA or more. I run 1000+ CAA due to everything that runs off that battery.

120 minutes of reserve is not enough capacity either.

You should consider 1000 cca.

FWIW.....not a fan of the coil design.

Too much wasted space.

Definitely not enough cranking amps for an optimax........

Optimas were cutting edge technology when they were introduced, in terms of durability, etc. But they've been far surpassed by other AGMs in terms of capacity in recent years. And I based on the last couple of optimas i have owned, i believe their quality is slipping as well.

Like said above...that battery is too small. It'll start the engine but has no capacity for electronics.

Will that battery run a Solix 15 and Solix 12 running g as well?

The Northstar NSB-AGM 31A looks to be a good option as well.
