I purchased my 2003 and it had originally side steer. Then it was converted to center steer as it now is. I am now installing side slide seating and Bill at Allison sent me the carbon graphite insert with a pilot hole for the new helm position.

My questions is this: There are now two holes that have supported the steering helm (one stock on starboard side, and one in the center). If I drill the new hole acording to Bill to accomodate the slide side steering, with this weaken that part of the dash that supports the helm? i.e. there will now be 3 rather large holes in the dash. I hope I have described this adequately. Will this part of the console (the area below the gauges still be strong enough with now 3 holes? Comments would be appreicated. Thanks. Robert
