<<<<<<1992 2.5 245 fresh>>>>>>>
i have the complete motor. the mid/lower is a 91. the powerhead was a replacemant powerhead in 93. the date is 7 of 92 on the block.
20" hipo bass mid single ram w/ the relief holes.
cle with a torq tammer.
260 style cowl.
245 stock powerhead original niacom.
has the big rods sps rod bolts.
has the original mahle piston in great shape they were all measured. these pistons didnt have side pin issues.
new TIN rings, and new gaskets/bearings.
it has zero hours. i havent put the powerhead back on the mid yet.
has pumper carbs.
still has rev limiter!
1200.00 in just parts in the powerhead.
it is one of the cleanest 245 you will see. it had low compression on a couple of cylinders. super clean on the inside. it was estimated at 100 hours before rebuild. pics to follow. i bought this boat/motor and found another rig i liked better.
i have the whole rig for sale too. thought i would test the water to see if there was any interest in just the motor.

6,500 complete
pics coming!!!!

best to call 513-207-2131

thanks,
roy

thanks!!! it is very clean!!!! i thought about keeping it, and still might... would make a great fishing motor.. it is the same block as a 260. ports are the same. just has carbs instead of efi. they are really 260 hp. merc lowered the numbers to justify the big $ increase of the efi 260.

Looks like a great way to get into a hi-po motor for not too many beans...... my impression is that if Roy built it, then it's gotta be good!

I think Dark Allison has one on his XTB and really likes it!

Sound like sweet "sleeper" motors!

Nice motor Roy. Hey , a guy at Byuboyz is looking for injectors. Just be careful with him, he's a tire kicker and he whines. But you might sell em, so thought I'd let you know. Anyway, the 245 is indeed a really great motor. Less fussy than an EFI, all the topend of a 260. Looks super clean. Take care Roy.
