A neighbors 2000 3.0L 225EFI is smoking up a storm when cold.We replaced both the oil valves at the fuel pump as directed by the dealer.
She clears up for the most part when warmed up but seems like the plugs are getting fouled. Plugs in this puppy are not surface gap but traditional style electrodes. Thought everything was surface gap these days.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

oil injection

The oil injection bottom resivoir is pressurized by the positive crankcase pulse and pushes the oil up to the engine's top resivoir. There is a tiny bleed oriface that bleeds down the tank pressure when not running so that oil is not still being forced up. You might try replacing the oriface, it worked for me.

Thanks for the idea. We'll take a look at it this weekend. When you refer to "replacing the orifice"- I assume this is some sort of a bleedhose or valve item.
