I have been looking some Johnnny Reb boat anchors. The company has went out of buisness, but i am hoping to find some used ones. Or maybe someone out there can tell me who made the motor/gearbox for them. The company was located in Jackson, MS. These are made of stainless steel

Sorry I can't help ya with specifics but man that brings back memories tho. When I was 15 (1987) I was given my grandads ol bassboat, a 1973 Challenger Mk IV (15ft tri-hull) with a 85hp Merc. It had Johnny Reb electric anchors on each end of it. I believe the Motorguide troller on it was based in West Point or Columbus, MS around that time as well.

Only place I've seen JReb parts/pieces is on Ebay every once in a blue moon,

Yea these are the best anchors that i have used. I really like the way everthing is located out of the way except the reel. I have a couple but the motor has finally burnt out. I would love to find some.
