Justed wanted to publically thank Jay and let others know what a good guy Jay is. I wanted my heads shaved a bit :) therefore I sent them to Jay. Like most of us I wanted it done immediately and the heads back as fast as possible. He got them on a Tuesday , did the work Tuesday nite, and had them in the mail Wednesday, for delivery Thursday morning. The heads look and perform great. Went to 34 CC and it really turned on the motor.
Jay took the time to explain anything I asked and is trully a nice guy. Thanks JAy.

PS. Jay- I accept cash.

Bob,

I had my neads on my 225 PM cut to 34cc's by Jay too. Excellent job!!

Have you done a compression test with the new heads?

Just wondering what numbers you came up with and what motor you are running.

Thanx

HI white

I idid my compression check right after I put them on, before running, and the compression was about 140 per cyclinder

Thanx Bob,

I did mine and it was between 135-140 for all cylinders. I was running 130-135 before the shaving.

I was expecting about 145 after the cutting, so I wanted to check with you on your results. Based on what you have I guess 140 is about right. Now I feel better.

Again...thanx

Bill

Compression #'s

White 003,

Always remember we offer a "tune up" on all JSRE cut heads and will recut for FREE ( Owner pays the freight BOTH ways of coarse) to target any compression number you choose ! As all ports on all motors are different some need alittle more removed to "get" there.....Some need more on one side than another might even send 1 head for tailor cutting to zero in on a close across the board numbers!

BUT always remember ring and bore condition along with port height will affect final numbers somewhat , 3 to 5 lbs difference is normal on any healthy motor.......

At JSRE our goal is 100 % customer satisfaction............

Jay @ JSRE Checks in da mail for the Kudos guys ! LOL........

Also the elevation you are at and the thickness of the head gaskets used play a big roll in how much compression you get.

I also run a set of heads cut by Jay (JSRE) and the engine not only performs better; the radial cut looks kickin!

I hear Bob who started this post just finished 5th in a fishing tournament... RIGHT ON BOB!

Jay, remember me this coming winter

Jay...thanx for the tune-up offer. Right now it's fishing tournament season and I can't be without the boat for even a few days, but if the offer is still open this winter I will send the heads back for some touch-up

Thanx again,

Bill

Guys, I have never done business with Jay but I have talked to him several times by phone. He always shoots you straight up even if it hurts. I talked to him the other day for almost 30 minutes and he helped me a lot. He is first class all the way!
