Here's a Photo of the Top Fueler that crashed during Qualifying!!

More of the crash at http://markjrebilas.com/blog/

[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif]This was posted on "Phoenix Update", thought I would put it here also.

Update on James Ray:
Just got back to the hotel from the hospital. James was air lifted to the hospital after the crash. He has several fractures in his back but not life threatening. He is in ICU and will be there for a few more days, per James.
Said that they were going to fit him with a back brace that he will be in for several months. Several cuts and bruises but other than that he looked good.
Please keep him in your prayers because he will be in pain for a while.

We just happened to be standing RIGHT in front of him when he went over. Boat just started skipping a little about 3/4 track. It wasn't that bad at all until it started to get sideways. Those things just won't go sideways at 200 mph. One guy got thrown out of his boat on Friday, came back Saturday and got thrown out again!! May want to get an Alli with a clampon?? Just now got the "water spots" and grime off the boat. Man that water is horrible. Tried some toilet bown cleaner (Wal Mart $1.00) stuff worked great. I thought I was going to have to paint the mid section and jackplate but the stuff worked great. Headed back to the mother ship (Allison plant) real early in the morning. Just about got the new to me 02 done. I can tell ya you can't tell the difference between it and the brand new one. Lots of work but she sure looks good. Pictures to follow soon. Hope all had great Thanksgiving, we sure have a lot to be thankful for. Lots of folks struggling out there. Have fun be safe
