With a 2003 Prosport and 225 Supermagnum with a CMC hydraulic, what setback is recommended so as not to dunk the engine when coming off plane? Thanks

14" is about the norm on that combo. A skidplate and ball is supposed to help, but I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. I plan to put the skid plate/ball on my plate this summer, but moreso for the higher floatation at rest and quicker plane times.

I really don't have a dunking problem unless I just chop the throttle though. Only dunked mine real good one time and that was because my partner jumped up on the back deck too early as I was setting down and I saw it coming but if I had gave it a little gas to avoid the dunk then he probably would have ended up in the water. He got his feet washed in february-cold water so I bet he stays seated till we come to a complete stop from now on.
