Maybe Mr. Shook will tell us the story. I know I'd love to hear it first hand.

Just busted the ice on the lake last Saturday--kind of gets your attention when you come up on it.

I'm sure Allison tests and tests their boats before released...but do they test on ice?

That photo was taken shortly after the wheel was invented (cameras too). Who knows what was underneath that cowl? 260 Nic, 2.4 Nic BP, 150 2.0, 2.5 z-port, etc. I probably had seven different motors on that hull. The second GS even had a Johnson 115 Fastrike (Eagle motor). GS is a 91 which I bought new for under $11,000 as I recall. The bottom was 'ice proofed' at Earl Scheib.

Bought at least 3 Allisons (GS, XB02, XR2001) from Avon. Never bought a Stream from them--they sold many. Bought SS too.

Shook--if you really want to hang out with like minded people go to FYNBAHR. Although I haven't been to one, they river run HP boats in November in Minnesota. Bring your skis (snow or water).
