I don't think a child can have a better experience than that. My boys love to fish, show them when there young and they keep on after they move on there own. Looks fun!

Finally got to wet a line in Watts Bar. The big one was only 34" and 16 lb on my little scale.




I was hoping my net would not break. See my size 10 foot for a size reference.

Did you catch it on the rod and reel in the last pic? Lb. test?
Yeppers. All my fish that day were on that old 6'6" Lightening Rod with 6# line. I had to chase the fish to get line back. It took at least 45 min.

I also had 4 largemouth, 1 smallmouth, a channel cat and a drum. Nothing under 16".

A couple walleye from the opener this weekend. Red Cedar Lake, Wisconsin. It was a little slow, and go figure the bite picked up after I left. My dad, brother and uncle limited with 6 fish between 18" and 24"
