Go to you tube and punch in bass boat crash. This dude is lucky to be alive after the little stunt he tried to pull. Scary to think there is actually people like this on the lakes. Worse than runnin with scissors. Oh and notice how they preached about safety in the vid.

This has been around before. There were a lot of theories why this happen, but the prevailing theory is that 1) he was using a hand throttle instead of a foot feed, and 2) inexperience. Anything can happen in the water going fast in a boat. If you're gonna go fast, you need all the precautions you can take to avoid injury or death. Getting pitched ain't no fun. I'm glad this guy will live to run again, if he does.

Kill switches and life jackets do save lives. Use them at all times when running no matter what the speed.

Well, the bad news is that he had a 225 on his boat in that crash, and a few months later, he decided it wasn't enough, so he bought a 260 to go on the back of it.

Not to take away from the seriousness of the video and the safety points, but they said he floated face up 10 minutes unconscious thanks to his lifejacket.

Where were his friends for 10 minutes??
