99 ss-2000 comp setup

I have a ss-2000 comp with a 245 carb motor and a 15" midsection w/jc nosecone on a torque master 28p hoss what's a good starting prop height? Setup help wants to hook

I'm relatively a newbie but setback is a factor. I would guess if you are 10"-12" back 1/2" below would be a safe starting point then go up. My GS runs good at 1/2" below with 8" setback & a heavy motor. I am also running a Torquemaster with a JC cone. RR

if boat still has the lip 1/4 below pad,, that is a safe setup..i ran a 30et, with a 15'' promax ran just over 100 with that setup like she was on Rails

I have a 10" setback and yes the lip is still on the bottom
