1996 XB 2003 Pro Sport Tournament, 2005 280, One owner, garage kept

Thank you all for the interest. Cma is the proud new owner of this boat and she’s on the way to Alabama. I’m having sellers remorse as I’ve had her for a long time.

Boat and motor. I have had a lot of interest in splitting them up but it really is the perfect set up. The boat was designed for this motor.

It is mounted offset. Was originally a side steer and I replaced the dash when I put in the side slide seat.

1996 XB 2003 Pro Sport Tournament, 2005 280, One owner, garage kept

I am putting my 1996 XB 2003 up for sale. I have not been using it enough lately. I bought it new in 1996 and it has been garage kept since then. 293 total hours on the hull. Freshwater only. I originally had a 225 pro max on it and when Mercury announced the end of the 280 line in 2005 I...

    Evinrude tm

I have run an omc 12-24 since 96. It is in a motorguide mount since it's alot stiffer. Besides the weight they are excellent in the weeds. Bob

    Skid Planer?

I put one on a couple years ago. It greatly improves both of those things and I haven't noticed anything bad in any other areas. It's out of the water when your running hard. Bob

    The big trips

It's been discussed that it is an aero thing with the console that pushes the nose down at 97-98. I don't bump the trim there, I slow down bump it, then run it back up. No death wish here!! Bob

    The big trips

I did it with my 03, 280, trolling motor, 2 batteries, 8 rods and the front hatch planos full. At 98 the nose wants to lay down and needs more trim. Really have to string it out. I'm happy. Ran 96 with 3 people into a 20 knot wind a couple months ago. That is good enough for me now. 20 years ago...

    All Ally owners

South Florida has alot of swamp and the flats are 3 to 5 feet deep. They would be great and if I fished more I would have 1 or 2. I use a drift sock on windy days to slow down the drift. Our boats are really light you know. Last Saturday I saw a stroker with 2 poles and they were drilled out for...

trolling motors 12 or 24 Volt

I run an omc 12/24 and 2 batteries. A grp 27 for the 12v and livewell. A grp 24 optima for cranking and 24v. I don't need 24v very much but when you do, you do. 16 years on this set up, except the optima part, with no problems. Bob

    Ran out of prop today!

    I ran my trophys about .25 above but could go over 1". Just no gain. That was with a cut and tabbed cle on a 225 promax. Bout 93 mph. Now I have a 280. :}

    Ran out of prop today!

I never trim down just let off slowly. A trophy will run alot higher than that and still have bite in my experience. Just feel for a vibration so you can stop when the blade cracks before it slings. I went through 3. Got 50 hours out of my 1st one and less than 20 out of the next 2. Great...
