Jasper River Run is October 13th 2017

Just around the corner! So far as I know nothing has changed from last year. Meet at Shellmound ramp about 10am central time. I'll check fuel available at the turn around but it has been 89 Octane no ethanol.

I am not sure but I think there is a group that does a run on Thursday on Guntersville and Saturday as well. We will probably run a bit on Nickajack / TN River Saturday late afternoon early evening if anyone wants to join us.

I made it round trip without having to get gas once we got to Chatt. I just brought 2 extra 3 gallon gas cans w/me to be able to make it round trip. Once we got to the landing in Chatt..I emptied the 3 gallon cans of fuel into my main tank..so 6 gallons added. I used 2/3ds of my main fuel tank to make it to chattanooga. Cruised around 5500-6000 RPM for the trip. Adding those 6 extra gallons of fuel was just enough to make it back.
