2003 250XS Rev Limiter

Sorry I didn't see this post before, I have the 2004 250XS - basically the same engine as yours. The soft limiter is at 5850 rpm. When you hit that it will start beeping at you (I can vouch for this). I have the Service Manual for the 2003-2004 motors. It says the hard limiter is at 5950 rpm, at which point the engine will go into Guardian mode (down to 2000 rpm). I have not continued to push after I hit the soft limiter so I can't vouch for where the hard limiter is personally, but I believe the service manual.

I had my lanyard pull the kill switch off a few times over 80 and the boat settled right down with no wheel torq or any indication of it going other than straight.
