It is mounted offset. Was originally a side steer and I replaced the dash when I put in the side slide seat.

I have run an omc 12-24 since 96. It is in a motorguide mount since it's alot stiffer. Besides the weight they are excellent in the weeds. Bob

I put one on a couple years ago. It greatly improves both of those things and I haven't noticed anything bad in any other areas. It's out of the water when your running hard. Bob

It's been discussed that it is an aero thing with the console that pushes the nose down at 97-98. I don't bump the trim there, I slow down bump it, then run it back up. No death wish here!! Bob
