Is yours an 8speed tranny? I've had two of the 8 speed 5.3 and didn't like either for pulling. But I found it got better fuel mileage pulling in manual 7th gear. I would get 10ish in normal and 11-12 in manual 7. I now have a 19 Ram and average 15 with same boat.

If you can find a 28 or 30RL cut chopper that's the ticket. They ran a little better than a true ET on my 03. It's also my big wheel on my 02.

I have the right prop but not for sale. lol There's more to be had in your setup. The correct ballast will get you 2-3 more. Pad work vs engine height will get you the rest.

14" setback? I wouldn't go any higher with that much lip, maybe an 1/8". I think there more but would need more setup tweaking.

What engine height are you at now? Exactly how much lip is remaining? A couple things I see in video, but it may just be cause its a video. I tried a 31 Hoss Triton. It was a 30 that Tim tuned to a 31. It was spring when I tried it. Couldn't get the Rs up. Only ran 104. I may would turn a 30 but a good 28 just does everything very good. If I had the normal 1.87 it would be different I'm sure.

My 260 hates anything above a 28.

40amp flywheel on 225 compared to 60amp altenator on 225X. The alien cowl models of the 225(98-00) had a recall that basically detuned the engine buy making changes in the computer and running colder plugs if I remember right. The X made more horsepower than the 225 but the 225 could be modified...

Gary, what does your engine temp run?

I’ve run 2 hoss props. One hyperdrive on my 03 and a 31 triton recently on my 02. Didn’t like either. I currently fish with 24 eagle ET and my big prop is a 28 RL cut. I’ll cry if this prop ever breaks. It was the best prop on my 03 and 02.

I did it to my 03 and didn't have any issues. I'm skeptical with my 02. It's a comp and if I ever decide to sell it feel I could get top dollar with no foot.
