Tha top edge hangs on tha edge of tha rear deck and should have two plastic do-hickeys on tha seat back that snap into matching do-hickeys screwed to tha bulkhead of tha rear deck........

If ya wanna put tha "work" in it, which was quite a bit, thinning tha blades went a long way towards making it a very good prop if ya kept tha weight way down. I know that our prop guy here (back in tha 90's) put MANY hours taking off metal but it made a huge difference..

Had a 28 that was pretty good on a 03 (stripped) that ran really well but add any weight and it went in tha toilet! But had tha blades REALLY thined to tha point of makin' some nervous runnin' it. Was perfect on tha Laser LTV though...........

Got plenty of tha right parts but I'm lookin' at using a "stock", late 90's cowlin'. Just lazy I guess. Didn't want ta fab anything for tha mounting brackets. It will probably get very little time put on it. Poppit or not? T-stats or not?.............Thanks

Asked on a coupla other boards. No answers. Has anyone ran a nic motor on a two piece? Poppit, yes/no? Restrictors/ t-stats? Lookin' at a "secret" project ta surprise some special "suppose ta be hot rodders"........

All is well now. New, liquid filled guages testor showing ALL under 3% on tha '99 and 2.5% on tha 20 something hour motor. Tha other 2 were way less as they should be............

Guages (single) are more expensive than tha whole thing (good one, not harbor freight) All two ring top pinned ('cept tha '99, #1, still side pin I think, never opened) Merc with gold rings...............................

Its tha guage no doubt. Anything we put it on got tha same type numbers. Even a wore out, scared up, beat up, way under 80lbs of comp on 5 of 6 with probably a zillion hours '79 2.0 motor! Needless ta say, got a new tester on tha way.......
